Seven Social Care are looking for a Family Support Assistant to start a new temporary contract in Bolton. The role is initially for 3 - 6 months with the possibility of placement extension.

**The role**:
As a Family Support Assistant, you will be a vital part of the team providing practical and personal support to disabled children, which may be in their own homes or to enable them to get out and about. Assist in planned activities designed to meet the developmentalor therapeutic needs of disabled children, monitor and record contact with the young people and their families using our service. You will need to be committed to helping families meet the needs of the young people in our care.

You will be operating within the Family Support Team to meet the assessed need of disabled children and their families across Bolton.

To meet the needs of the family's support will involve some weekend working, and you will be required to work some early mornings and evenings.

**Key Responsibilities**:
To provide practical and personal support to families of disabled children as directed.

To assist in planned activities designed to meet the developmental or therapeutic needs of disabled children.

To monitor and record contact with the service users.

To take part in meetings and reviews as necessary and to provide the appropriate information.

To work as part of a team to assist in the continued development of family support services for disabled children.

**Applicant Requirements**:

- **Experience and Qualifications**: Two years' experience in supporting disabled children in domestic, social care or school setting. NVQ Level 2.
- **Compliance**: Up to date DBS(preferably on the update service), Right to Work in the UK.
- **Travel**: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- **Hours**: 20 hours per week - includes evening and weekend work. Rota is planned with you and your manager.
