Terminal Supervisor

We currently have a vacancy for a Terminal Supervisor at our Aberdeen Terminal on Point Law in Aberdeen Harbour.
The Terminal Supervisor’s main responsibility is to lead day to day operations, coordinate and oversee all contracted works and ensure safe working operations are maintained on site at all time.
**Duties include**:
- Manage all operational activity taking place and will work with, and instruct Terminal Operators to carry out operational tasks and activities on site.
- Monitor daily activities and be dynamic in prioritising and coordinating works taking place on site.
- Work closely with contractors and will review RAMS in detail and provide any necessary comments to ensure RAMS are site specific,
- Produce Permits to Work and will issue, authorise, sign-off and close as and when required.
- Act as an ‘Incident Controller’ in the event of emergency and will be sufficiently trained and deemed competent to take appropriate responsive action to control and coordinate site incidents.
- Form part of the emergency response team for the Terminal, liaising with emergency services in the event of any incident.
- Work closely with Terminal Operators and the Terminal Operations Manager to cascade relevant communications
- Uphold excellent communication skills and will ensure all staff, contractors, drivers and other 3rd parties are aware of activities taking place on site that may impact individual respective works, activities or operations.
- Act as a focal point for reporting all safety events, identified breakdowns/defects and any other notable anomalies/concerns observed during the shift, take appropriate responsive action and will dynamically assess each event or investigate fault as and when required. Any significant concerns or threats to maintaining safe working operations are to be reported to the Terminal Operations Manager at the earliest opportunity.
- Understanding of the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations and site specific Major Accident Hazard scenarios for the site is essential.
- Accountable for overseeing safe operations when receiving, storing, transferring, and loading of petroleum products via trucks, ships and/or bunkers.
- Responsible for stock management and reconciliation, ensuring product quality testing is conducted as well as documentation and analysis of results. Act as an advocate for promoting the strong health & safety culture of the site and champion the highest level of safe working at all times.
