You will oversee the day our residents have in terms of fun You can work with them to decide what they will enjoy, what will keep them engaged and stimulated. The world is your oyster

At Meadows Park we are looking for someone who can engage, create fun, listen to the residents, be empathetic to their needs and have that fun and enthusiastic air about them. It is such an important position and a fun one too

As an Activities Co-ordinator you will be responsible for coordinating, planning and implementing activities appropriate to clients’ needs and requests and you will be assisting the Registered Manager to organise fundraising events.

There are plenty of responsibilities within the role of activities co-ordinator which include:

- Help clients to socialise within the care home and provide a diverse variety of activities that cater for all individuals,
- Accompany clients where possible, to off-site activities which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours,
- Assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainments, materials and outings
- Maintain full and accurate records of daily activities, using appropriate documentation and assist the named carer to review and update client care files
- Provide comfort and company on a one to one basis for clients who are unable to undertake any form of activity,
- Actively market the care home and promote a positive personal / professional profile within the local community,
- Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual clients within the care home,
- Undertake all the administration for activities, including production of the monthly newsletter, posters, booking of acts and booking of transport required for activities etc.
- Distribute post and newspapers to residents,

This list is not exhaustive and it really is one of the more rewarding roles within care. You are the centre of the residents world, you keep them grounded and stimulated and it can help them physically and mentally retain their independence.

**This will be on a 2 week rolling rota including weekends**
**31.5 hours per week.**
