**Brief Description**:
**Distribution & Plant**:You will be responsible for directing a team to keep power flowing through the electrified rails safely and efficiently.

You’ll also undertake inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal work as allocated whilst maintaining appropriate safety arrangements for staff under your control, including Contractors.

The team depends on you. You’re the one they look up to whilst out on site and who will check the quality of work undertaken, confirming assets are compliant to Network Rail standards.

You will also ensure that that the staff under your control have the appropriate and valid competencies and make sure that vehicles, tools and materials are fit for use.

- **Teamworking - **Our maintenance teams depend on you and you will play a critical role. Experience of organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work is a must.
- **Communication** - A variety of clear communication skills are essential to complete work safely and effectively.
- **Management - **Team leadership, motivation skills and the ability promote and embed safe working behaviours within the team is crucial.
- **Working under pressure - **Working outdoors in all conditions, and with trains passing close by means you’ll need to remain calm under pressure.
- **Following rules and Instructions** - It is important that you understand the relevant standards and procedures required for this role and being able to follow clear instructions is vital.

As a Team Leader you’ll also need a driving licence (category B) and be willing and able to drive Network Rail vehicles as required by the business

Network Rail adheres to a **structured pay framework**, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised.

**Salary**: £33,567 Maintenance T&Cs plus additional benefits (overtime, weekend, on-call, night rates)
