Goldwell Manor is a purpose-built home, with the needs of the residents being the inspiration. With a pub for residents, private dining areas and landscaped gardens, this is set to be a glamourous, new home offering residential and specialist dementia support.

The fantastic team are currently seeking an **Activities Assistant **to work alongside our Lifestyle Coordinator in planning, preparing and delivering a wide range of engaging, fun activities for our residents.

**What would we like to offer an Activities Assistant?**
- **Full-time, permanent** contract
- **30 hours **per week on a 6-weekly rolling rota
- **£9.80 per hour**, depending on experience and training
- Based in Chesterfield - **S40 4AA**:

**Your responsibilities as our Activities Assistant;**
- Through discussion with the residents and their relatives, identify residents' interests, preferences, abilities and activity needs
- Involve residents in the planning of the activities, advertise the arranged programme, ensuring that relatives and staff are able to participate and contribute
- In conjunction with the catering care team, organise themed events based on traditions, local holidays etc.
- Assist in delivering creative and engaging activities, both in groups and one-to-one, to suit the hobbies, likes and needs of the residents
- Support and encourage residents to engage in activities and social events both in and outside of the home
- Contribute to creating an innovative programme so that residents can achieve extraordinary things, within their capabilities
- Support the Lifestyle Coordinator and Care Manager with regular risk assessments to ensure the health and safety of the residents

- Experience of working within a caring environment
- Experience in planning, preparing and delivering activities to groups and individuals
- Fantastic written and verbal communication skills, with the natural ability to engage and include people from a diverse range of backgrounds
- A flexible but organised approach to managing your own workload.
