Professional Lead for Cbt

Cognitive behavioural therapies are a highly valued part of our services for all people, irrespective of their age or ability level. We are eager to recruit a professional lead to provide safe and effective governance of all cognitive and behavioural informed practice across the trust (all secondary care services that employ Cognitive and Behavioural Therapists and my wellbeing college - IAPT). The post holder will be based in Community Mental Health Services for their clinical practice. The post holder will represent all cognitive and behaviourally based psychotherapies at our Psychological Therapies Council and will organise opportunities for practitioners to come together to share good practice and address challenges in the workplace. Clinically the organisation embraces MDT working and the post holder will provide a mix of 1-1 or group based therapy to service users and support the trauma informed practice of the wider workforce through supervision, consultation and participation in team based activities. As this is a senior post there is an expectation that the post holder will support our clinical leadership team, deputising when appropriate alongside other professional and/or pathway leads.
