**The role**
As a Vehicle Fitter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be part of a highly skilled team supporting customers including the police, fire, and ambulance service.

Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in the stripping and fitting process for a wide range of vehicles, from executive to light commercial, including brand new armoured vehicles.
- Removing and replacing vehicle exterior panels
- Stripping and refitting of entire vehicle to include seats, panels, roof lining, interior trim, carpets, switch gears and bumpers
- Cataloguing components so that they can be effectively reassembled
- Replacing mechanical components and completing minor mechanical tasks E.g. Suspension / brakes, changing brake fluid

This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

**Essential experience of the Vehicle Fitter**:

- Previous automotive experience

**Qualifications for the Vehicle Fitter**:

- NVQ level 2 Automotive (or proven automotive experience)
