We are The Old Rectory a residential care service in Acle for older people, some of whom have dementia.

We are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in a similar role.

You will be a team leader, confident and able to work as a team. Medication rounds will be part of your night routine when on senior shift, which you will be trained fully within the home. No experience needed as training will be given.

We are looking for someone to be able to lead a team with enthusiasm. Guide and ensure the highest of care standards are being met. You will be involved in team meetings and further development within the role.

We offer online training as well as Face to Face training.

You will be providing personal care to residents, as well as supporting them to take part in a wide range of daily living activities and promoting independence. The job will entail accurate record keeping and an enhanced DBS check will also be required.

Can you show us how you would treat our residents for whom our home is their home, with the dignity and respect they have a right to expect?

If you have the right values for our Organisation, you will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development. Ideally you will hold a Diploma in Health and Social Care or be happy to work towards one.

This position is a full-time permanent role based on 42hrs to include Bank Holidays and Weekends. The shift pattern is 7.00PM - 7AM
