**Company Background**
Our client is a rapidly expanding business in the green industry who have big plans and ambitions over the next few years. In the last 18 months they have increased turnover by more than 45%. Because of this expansion, they are in need of a Mechanical DesignEngineer.
**The Role**
Reporting to the R&D Manager you will be responsible for the design and manufacture of the product. Working closely with the manufacturing team, suppliers and customers to ensure that each project is completed on time.
You will be responsible for:

- Generation of designs with meet all customer and safety requirements
- Preparing all supporting documentation, such as manuals, BOMs, assembly drawings
- Design and detailing of machine parts and assemblies
- Sourcing and selection of standard machine components

**Experience and Skills**
As an experienced, degree qualified design engineer you will have good skills working on multiple projects in an industrial setting. Working predominately with metals and sheet fabrication you will also be fully proficient in Solidworks and knowledge of DraftSightor AutoCAD. You must also be able to show experience with Design for Manufacture and Assembly and have detailed knowledge of machining and fabrication capabilities. We are looking for a person who can work on their own initative with mínimal supervision, andbe able to run the design projects to meet customer orders.
