**Junior Cloud Security Engineer**
**Tasks**:

- As a Junior Cloud Security Engineer, you will work within a team of Engineers and Operations personnel building highly secure, resilient, scalable and performant GCP infrastructure for our clients.
- Advise customer of security best practice and the best use of security related GCP services and procedures
- Help identify and resolve security weak points in code and designs before deployment using various tools
- Working in a team and mentoring others in all aspects related to security
- Reports for security incidents and vulnerability assessments for client(s) where required
- Supporting clients in impementing DevOps principles, Infrastructure-as-a-Code
- Configure and update security alert(s) across platforms and monitor and review logs of our clients to check security

**Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor's degree (2.1 or higher) is required in IT, Computer Science or in a Technology-related field
- Experience of working with a range of services in a cloud service provider, ideally GCP
- Understanding of DevOps principles, Infrastructure-as-a-Code concepts and techniques and SIEM concepts and available tools
- Understanding of Security and Compliance, e.g. cloud compliance / auditing / monitoring tools
- Operational effectiveness - delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security standards
- Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
