An excellent opportunity has arisen with our client, who are a market leading Financial Services organisation. We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to focus on enhancing the companies ability to extract greater value from operational data. The programmelooks to implement a cloud based data analytics platform to deliver prescriptive and predictive analytics capabilities to all areas of the organisation. Our client have a flexible approach to home working but will require occasional trips to the Reigate HQ.
**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Relevant experience within data science / analytics roles from a consulting or client background
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders to understand their requirements and design relevant analytical solutions - communicating the often complex results of which to non-analytical audiences in an engaging and transparent way
- Significant experience in developing analytical solutions to support business
- Proven experience in creating automated data analytics solutions with Alteryx, SageMaker, Power BI or similar tools
- Produce analytic output in Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
- Willingness to work with data Stewards and engineers to be the guardian of good data practice

**Key Skills**:

- Advanced knowledge of Statistical Analysis techniques
- Strong Data Modelling and Wrangling skills
- Proven experience and willingness in managing large volumes of raw data and perform processing and data quality checks
- Hands on technical knowledge in working in a cloud environment with analytical server and connection to data sources ie. Alteryx Server, Input and Output to Snowflake or Amazon S3 environments
- Expert level in Alteryx workflows, macros, intelligence suite or Python and/or R
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills
- Knowledge of ML techniques
- Cloud Analytics experience, Google, AWS, Snowflake
- Industry - Insurance, Financial Services, Digital Marketing
