The volume and variety of data involved in surveillance and the complexity of identification in one of most challenging and appropriate use cases forbig data technologies. Hands on Markets Analyst required for a key role in the delivery of industry leading financial markets fraud detection solutions. - The Compliance Technology Traded Markets Data Science team is expanding our reach into more effective surveillance methods to be delivered using our strategic platforms - These platforms allow users to monitor trading activity across multiple asset classes and information barriers, on an end of day and ideally a real-time basis for indications of various forms of market abuse - The team is seeking an AI/ML Data Analyst to join the team in Belfast - The proper hire will be part of a team responsible for producing models using both existing methodologies and next generation heuristic and AI/ML techniques to assist our Global Compliance stakeholders in meeting growing regulatory surveillance requirements - Tasks will include: - Proper advanced data analytics - Warehousing of best practices in data wrangling - Building data accuracy techniques - Working closely with data scientists, developers, data analysts, business analysts and architects to guide the implementation and validation of the solutions at scale in a big data production environment. - This role will provide an excellent opportunity to become a key player in the design, prototype, and implementation of new industry leading surveillance techniques based on advanced data analytics and behavioural analytics. - Exposure to a Big Data environment and the complete suite of python libraries - Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to express ideas to people from various business and technology backgrounds - Delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to identify data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan - Demonstrable knowledge of data processing and collection related to various types of data evaluations **In addition, the following will be a distinct advantage**: - Experience with Capital Markets traded products - Deep SQL, adequate Python experience and the various python libraries related to financial analysis - Experience working with Big Data technologies; Hive, Hadoop, Spark - Bachelor's degree in business, finance, and/or engineering - Master and/or Ph.D. ideal **What we Offer**: As well as a competitive salary and consideration for a yearly discretionary bonus Citi offer;- 23 days paid annual leave - Award winning pension scheme, - Life assurance and - Private medical insurance with Bupa healthcare.
