**Job Title: Personal Assistant/Care Worker**

**Location: Knutsford, WA16**

**Day/Times: I am looking for a BANK personal assistant to cover Shifts when my PA’s are on leave.**

**Monday - Sunday between 8am to 2pm & 4 pm to 9:30 pm.**

**Hours: Up to 46 hours per week to cover when other PA's are on leave.**

**Rate of Pay: £12.00 per hour**

**Purpose of the Job**:
I am a lady in Knutsford area of Cheshire with a diagnosis of Multiple sclerosis and I use an electric wheelchair to mobilise around the house. I live alone and require a Personal Assistant to support with various daily living tasks and general upkeep of the house, I have recently had a lift fitted into my property to help me to get around my house.

I am looking to recruit personal assistants to are able to provide me support across the week to enable me to live independently at home. I need my Personal Assistant to be flexible and able to provide additional hours when required to support me to attend medical appointments.

**Personal Assistant Specification**:
My Assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable, must respect my privacy and maintain my dignity at all times.

My Assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition. You must be able to work well independently.

Must work well as a team as well as independently.

Experience is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.

**Supervision**:
My Personal Assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.

**Main Duties**:
To assist me with my personal care needs

To assist me with my toileting needs, recently had a new wet room fitted.

To assist me with my dietary and fluid intake

To ensure equipment is used for all transfers for example moliftm House lift,

To provide domestic support within my home for example: washing dishes following a meal

To keep me safe within my home

To support me to attend medical and other appointments as required.

To assist me with the general upkeep of the house.

The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; I may on occasions reasonably request additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.
