**Advanced Teaching Assistant -Numeracy & Literacy specialism**

**Salary**:Grade 5 / NJC SCP 9-11, Actual Salary £17,479.09 - £18,319.9

**Hours**: 30 hours / 39 weeks (TTO + 5 days) Fixed term for one year with the potential to extend.

**Start Date**: January 2025 or as soon as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and inspirational Inclusion department, supporting our students as an Advanced Teaching Assistant (ATA) within our outstanding school in the heart of Yorkshire. You will join our Family of Schools and work with us as part of the team. The role is 30 hours per week (Term Time Only + 5 days). Fixed Term for one year with a view to extend.Numeracy and Literacy specialism desirable.

- Take responsibility for a caseload of students inside and outside of the classroom during structured or unstructured time.
- Assess the needs of students and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support students’ educational progress and attainment.
- Deliver intervention programs to individuals and small groups, preparing relevant and appropriate learning experiences in conjunction with the department staff.
- Track and monitor student life-skill targets and/or EHCP outcomes, discussing progress with parents and agreeing new targets/EHCP outcomes at Interim Reviews.

Driving may be required within this role for home visits.
