**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently along assigned routes.
- Collect residential, commercial, or industrial waste and recycling materials.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects or maintenance issues.
- Ensure loads are secure and the vehicle is operated within safety guidelines.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public, customers, and team members.
- Maintain accurate records including daily logs, collection reports, and incident forms.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations, company policies, and health & safety procedures.
- Assist colleagues with loading and manual collection duties when necessary.
- Adjust routes or tasks as required by supervisors to meet operational needs.

**Required Skills and Attributes**:

- **Able to drive** and hold a valid commercial vehicle driving licence.
- **Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)** (essential).
- **Physically fit** and **capable of undertaking heavy manual work**.
- **Good eyesight** and attention to detail for safe operation of vehicles.
- **Excellent time management skills** with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- **Ability to prioritise and organise work** efficiently in a busy environment.
- **Ability to multi-task** and adapt to changing tasks or routes.
- **Good communication skills** and ability to work effectively with others.
- **Ability to work as part of a team**, supporting a cooperative work environment.
- **Flexible and enthusiastic** with a positive, can-do attitude.

**Qualifications**:

- **Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)** - _Required_
- Valid **Category C (or higher)** driving licence - _Required_
- High school diploma or equivalent - _Preferred_
- Previous experience in waste collection or large vehicle driving - _Desirable_
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and health & safety regulations - _Advantageous_

**Working Conditions**:

- Work is primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physically demanding role involving heavy lifting, walking, and prolonged driving.
- Early start times and occasional weekend or holiday work may be required.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
