Flt Counterbalance Drivers

**Stiller Warehousing & Distribution Ltd, have vacancies for experienced forklift drivers who hold certificated training for Counterbalance fork trucks.**

We are looking for someone who is a team player with a positive and a “Can Do” attitude. This role requires someone who is highly skilled in the operating of forklift trucks, who is observant and is able to think on their feet in the fast-paced environment of our warehouses to ensure customer requirements are met on time and in full every time.

**Main Responsibilities & Duties**:

- The operating of a counterbalance forklift truck in a safe manner.
- To work within the company guidelines for Health & Safety at all times.
- To work effectively as part of a small team to ensure the swift loading/unloading of vehicles
- Careful handling of drivers’ paperwork
- Checking received goods against packing lists and highlighting discrepancies
- Sorting goods into loads ready for loading
- Accurate Picking / Packing of customer goods
- 100% compliance to pre-use checks for all MHE used.

**Additional Duties**:

- Highlight and escalate areas of improvement or unsafe practices
- Mentoring new staff in practices and procedures.
- Supporting the business when necessary for customer requests at short notice.

**Terms of Employment**:
The applicant should have recent and relevant experience for this role and hold a certificate of training for Counterbalance FLT of which the training has been undertaken within the last 3 years, training certificates are acceptable from all recognised bodies, i.e., RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT etc.,

The Company reserves the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of the business.

Due to the nature of this contract a high level of flexibility in relation to working hours is required, regular weekend working is a strong possibility. In relation to statutory holidays with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the remaining 6 statutory holidays are seen as a regular working day.

Hours of work are 8 per day, between the hours of 06.00 - 18.00hrs

Rates of Pay are:
Monday - Friday £ 10.50/hour - 40 hours

Overtime Mon - Friday and Saturday £15.75/hour

Overtime Sunday £21.00/hour

Back Shift Allowance £10.50/shift
