Vision for Education are seeking to recruit dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to work within specialised provisions in the Gateshead area.

**About the role**:
Working in this Secondary school as part of an established team, the desired SEMH Teaching Assistant will be working on a small group sized basis with pupils with SEND including SEMH, Learning Difficulties, Autism, Attachment Disorders, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and ADHD. This full time SEMH Teaching Assistant role is long term from November ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

This Secondary school, based in Gateshead is looking to appoint a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 3, 4 or 5 classes on a full-time basis.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of SEMH Teaching Assistant you will:

- Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
- An ability to deal with fast paced situations and challenging behaviours.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
