The purpose of the role is to provide leadership to a comprehensive administration service in the Radiology Department.

The post holder will manage their own workload and act as day to day supervisor for the Radiology Administrative Staff. He/She will undertake all duties with regard to staff management.

The post holder will ensure that the Radiology waiting list is managed efficiently by establishing safe and effective systems of work. He/She will identify any shortfalls in capacity and demand and escalate as appropriate, to ensure that the UHB achieve and maintain their waiting list targets in relation to Referral to Treatment Times (RTT),Welsh Government Diagnostic Waiting Times, Cancer and all other standards.

The post holder will work closely with the Site Superintendent in planning/maintaining activity for the Unit.

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to become the Office Supervisor, working within the Radiology department at Prince Charles Hospital.

Working closely with the Site Superintendent and Modality Leads the post holder will support the delivery of an effective appointment booking system including providing clerical, administrative, information, organizational and additional tasks required by the department.

Radiology provides a diagnostic investigation service for both inpatients and outpatients which includes such modalities as CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, General and Dental x-rays.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
