We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and practically minded **GIS Consultant **to join our GIS & Digital Advisory Team.

This role will involve delivery of a wide variety of diverse projects which will often involve working in close collaboration with specialists across multidisciplinary teams in transport, environment and buildings to deliver value to our clients. You will be covering a range of activities including supporting, designing and deploying ESRI based web solutions, data preparation, data management and producing visualisations.

**What does the role involve?**:

- Preparing mobile data collection packages for field workers using ArcGIS FieldMap and Survey123.
- Taking responsibility for completing packages of work relating to geospatial data digitising, data management, analysis and map production.
- Working with the wider team to source, prepare and analyse data to prepare graphics, metrics and input for reports and presentations.
- Identifying, supporting and implementing opportunities for improving efficiency and providing innovative solutions.
- Participating in knowledge sharing within the team and the wider Sweco.
- Working closely with GIS team members to improve our current use and deployment of GIS technology to raise quality and efficiencies, including the introduction of new technologies.
- Maintaining communication with the project team to ensure that GIS tasks meets the objectives and requirements.
- Ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and completed in accordance with agreed timescales and budgets.
- Participating in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
**To be successful in this role you’ll possess**:

- A relevant degree or work experience reflecting a similar level of expertise in GIS, environmental sciences or geographical sciences, with knowledge of GIS software.
- Experience working with ESRI stack, particularly ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, Survey123, Field Maps and ArcGIS Online, including StoryMaps, Dashboards and Hub sites.
- Experience with ArcGIS extensions, including Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst and Network Analyst.
- An understanding of cartographic principles and techniques.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office desktop apps and Office 365 suite etc.
- Knowledge of using UK environmental and Ordnance Survey datasets.
- Experience working with design and engineering data, such as DWG, IFC, Revit, etc and the conversion to GIS.
- Experience of working alongside teams in the delivery of data analysis and mapping.
- Some experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and/or enterprise geodatabases (MS SQL Server).
- The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in clear English.
- A good eye for detail and a rigorous approach to the quality of map-based and spatial deliverables.
- Enthusiasm, energy and drive to develop skills and deliver projects to the highest standard.
- The ability to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors
- A passion to develop your career and work towards a professional body qualification through CPD and on the job development.
- Experience with FME workflows.
- Experience with ModelBuilder.
- Experience with python scripting, including ArcPy.
- Experience in 3D GIS.
- Experience to use of scripting and automation across the Office 365 suite (MS Power Automate, Excel VBA, Power Query, Access VBA; Power BI and SharePoint).
