With a base in 5 European countries and a growing presence in mainland Europe we are looking for Transport Operations Controllers to play a major role in our Global Solutions team.
With our dedicated airside fleet and driving team, GBA Logistics offers a uniquely transparent one-stop-shop in aviation logistics. We provide customer-tailored services including domestic and international scheduled transport; freight management; UK & European aircraft-on-ground (AOG) dedicated transport; and inventory management. By delivering the ‘last mile’ directly into the hands of the airlines’ line engineers, our team is positioned as the most viable company to offer a global end-to-end solution to support the airline industry in Europe.

The Role:
- Working within a team coordinating and ensuring all customer requirements (Collections / Deliveries) are completed within agreed timescales.
- Processing telephone/electronic bookings accurately and dealing with customer request through to full resolution.
- Being proactive when monitoring delivery jobs to POD and completion - clear communication to Customers and staff of any issues including accurate and informative handovers.
- Strong communications skills, written and verbal.
- Proactive mindset with a can-do attitude when monitoring customer jobs to ensure adequate resources, fleet or staff are available to meet customer needs
- Effect the management of day-to-day Road, Sea and Air Freight operations.
- Complete Customs formalities including processing export and import declarations.
The Person:
- 3 years Previous freight forwarding or logistics experience.
- The ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.
- Computer literate with an eye for detail
- Ability to work autonomously as well as working alongside all other members of staff.
- Excellent customer service skills
This is an exciting and challenging role and you will need to be able to multitask, prioritise your own workload and communicate in a professional way. We use a range of Microsoft products throughout the business, so a good working knowledge is required.
