**Safety Engineer Job Description**: The growing workload within MBDA has now created an exciting opportunity for a Safety Specialist with passion and experience in the design and development of safety systems and their test equipment.

**Responsibilities**:
As a member of Electronic Engineering, your involvement will span the entire product lifecycle, from bids to electronic design, prototyping, functional testing, sub-system level design and validation, transfer to production, and in service support. Therewill be a particular emphasis on analysis, from general hazard analyses and fault trees, to Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) assessment.

There will also be the opportunity to be involved in research and continuous improvement activities to enhance our capability for the future, supporting the manufacturing offset of MBDA designed equipment to our international partners, and the developmentof national and international standards.

**Skillset/experience required**:

- We are looking for an electronics engineer with experience of safety systems and equipment, someone with a broad understanding of electronics who can lead the design and analysis of safety related solutions.
- Experience of the development and delivery of safety related systems
- Working knowledge of applicable standards; national and international
- Analytical approach to review and critique architectures and designs
- Ability to deliver supporting documentation (Hazard Analysis, fault trees, etc.)
