Shaare Hayim Congregation is a Charity (CRN 1067759) that owns and operates two Synagogues, one in Hale Barns where this position is located and one in Didsbury.

We are now seeking a professional and experienced Administrator to carry out the administrative and bookkeeping roles.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have the following skills and experience:

- Excellent Microsoft 365 Skills, in particular Excel and Word
- Good telephone manner and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Property maintenance experience would be an advantage
- Bookkeeping skill would be an advantage

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Varied role dealing with:

- Membership, subscriptions and payment of fees
- payments in and out
- 6 staff including payroll
- Banking
- Property maintenance and record keeping
- Managing diary and logistics for events & hire of synagogue
- Working closely with congregational Rabbi, paid caretaker and voluntary management team - Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer
- Managing the office and day to day enquiries
- Excellemt attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A pleasant manner

Hours of works 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday with one hour for lunch

8:30am - 1:30pm on Friday no lunch break

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

- Altrincham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
- bookkeeping: 5 years (preferred)
