This is an exciting time to join Warrington & Vale Royal College as we are expanding our provision in **Construction and Engineering**, and building new first-class facilities.
We are always keen to hear from both experienced lecturers and non-experienced lecturers, who have the relevant skills and experience to train the next generation, and provide the very best experience to our learners, in the following areas:
- ** Carpentry and Joinery**:
- ** Brickwork**:
- ** Plumbing**:
- ** Electrical Installation**:
- ** Mechanical Engineering**
We offer an excellent salary and benefits package, which includes:
- A competitive salary
- Generous annual leave entitlement (58 days for Lecturers, including bank holidays and Christmas closure days, pro rata for part time)
- Occupational pension scheme
- Employee benefits package
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Free on-site parking
- Full programme of training and mentoring
- Induction programme and buddy scheme
- Flexible working, where appropriate
- Menopause friendly
In October 2019 the college was officially commended as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and we celebrated some of the highest pass rates in England, ranking us in the top 10 nationally for the third consecutive year. Our mission is ‘Realising potential, transforming lives’. Our environment is inclusive, friendly and supportive, with high expectations for both staff and students. To thrive in our environment, you will need to be resilient, positive, able to work autonomously, have a strong work ethic, and put our learners at the heart of everything you do.
The college is proud to hold the Gold accreditation in the Investors in People framework. We have been assessed against the criteria of Leading, Supporting and Improving, and the Gold award means that the college has the right principles in place, and our people and leaders demonstrate a commitment to best practice, people management and personal development.
Sustainability is a key priority for Warrington & Vale Royal College, and we are committed to raising awareness and the implementation of sustainable practices in all aspects of college life. Sustainability principles are embedded across the college, and our sustainability action plan and committee are led by senior leaders to ensure that this remains a key focus.
You will either have a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification. Through the **Taking Teaching Further programme**, the college is able to recruit applicants with industry experience to retrain as FE teachers. The programme will provide funding for the cost of the teacher qualification and full mentor support, provided by the college.
The college operates on 2 campuses - Warrington and Winsford.
