We are currently looking to recruit a Production Operator to join our award-winning business in **Rochdale.**

Based in our Rochdale site, our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (EMEAI) territories for Neogen Corporation, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 2,000 people worldwide.

The work itself is vital and brings with it the opportunity to succeed and to progress with a great organisation which leads the market in its field.

This role requires an individual who can work well on their own initiative and as part of a team, responding directly to the Production Manager.

**The main responsibilities of this role include**:

- Manual Chemical blending into powder blenders.
- Follow and adhere strictly to instructions on batch production sheet
- Preparing materials for orders / production daily
- Correct and accurate weighing of raw materials
- Avoid cross-contamination during measuring, weighing, charging and blending
- Packing off powders into various pack sizes.
- Checking meters and instruments readings before and whilst in use
- Supply batch samples to laboratory to obtain batch release
- Report problems with the production process or equipment to supervisors, managers, and maintenance engineers
- Loading & offloading vehicles when required
- Operate FLTs in a controlled manner
- Ensure good housekeeping eg. maintain clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist production and packing departments as required
- Health and Safety in line with Company policy
- Assist with routine and full stock takes
- Any other reasonable task as may be requested by management
