What you’ll be doing_**
- Lead the day-to-day environmental management of offshore assets, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and company standards.
- Plan, procure, and manage environmental compliance surveys to meet consent, marine licence, and other regulatory obligations.
- Oversee fisheries and fishery liaison activities, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring best practices.
- Utilise and develop tools for tracking, auditing, and reporting on asset consenting and environmental performance.
- Conduct environmental data collation and analysis to support compliance and broader sustainability objectives.
- Manage environmental projects and initiatives at both site-specific and portfolio levels.
- Support senior leadership, including the Environmental Manager and Head of Offshore Consents, and deputise when required.
- Assist with the implementation of ISO environmental standards (e.g., ISO 14001 & ISO 50001) across the portfolio.
- Collaborate with Offshore Wind Business Units to ensure full compliance with consenting requirements during project delivery, construction, and operational phases.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, planners, regulatory authorities, consultants, the Crown Estate, Marine Directorate, and the Marine Management Organisation.
- Represent EDF Renewables UK at internal and external environmental forums, industry events, and stakeholder engagements.

What do you need to be great at this role?_**

You will hold a relevant undergraduate and/or post graduate degree in town and country planning, environmental management or similar.
- Membership (or working towards membership) of relevant professional institute, e.g., Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, Royal Town Planning Institute or similar.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to operational renewable energy assets, particularly concerning environmental compliance.
- Track record in delivering projects, initiatives and/or performance improvements.
- Experience of working on energy projects, particularly offshore wind farms, in development, construction and/or operation is desirable.
- Experience of working on the consenting and/or environmental compliance of offshore assets is desirable.
- Experience of managing external consultants desirable.
- Experience of managing external contractors on site is essential.
- ISO14001 implementation and compliance desirable
- Experience in environmental data collation and monitoring desirable (greenhouse gas inventory)
- Natural communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative, enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Ability to prioritise effectively and consistently deliver against tight time constraints while working flexibly as part of a team.
- Ability and being comfortable working in outdoor environments in variety of weather conditions
- Comfortable influencing and engaging with stakeholders
- Familiar with reactive work environment and flexibility in work location/timing of work
- The successful applicant must be willing to work within EDF Renewables’ health and safety requirements at all times.

Location: Scotland, Durham or remote with lots of travel.
