**Introduction**

The Boeing P-8 Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft is a military aircraft developed by Boeing Defence, built on a modified design of the 737-800ERX. The Aircraft is fitted with equipment to tackle a diverse range of missions, including protecting submarines and reconnaissance missions. The platform was initially developed for the US Navy, first flown in 2009 and introduced in 2013. In 2019, the UK Ministry of Defence received the first of a fleet of nine P-8A Aircraft.

BDUK has been supporting the UK fleet as the exclusive Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) since its introduction as a key part of the Boeing Global Services P8 International team. While continuing to support the UK customer at RAF Lossiemouth under its own contract with the UK MOD, BDUK will also support our international customers as they enter their own fleets into service in the coming years

**This position is for an Operations support specialist who will primarily be part of the P8 International Sustainment team based at RAF Lossiemouth and be prepared to operate worldwide for extended periods of time. After onboarding at RAF Lossiemouth, the first assignment is expected to be in Germany with further opportunities in other locations.**

**Enhanced support packages are provided for all overseas assignments.**

**Position overview**:
The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to the maintenance control team, providing direct control and supervision of all aircraft documentation during aircraft Scheduled maintenance, Unscheduled maintenance, Repairs, Modification work, ensuring all technical data in use is at the correct revision and compiling and auditing taskcards. Working with both electronic and hard copy records, responsibilities include auditing, updating and archiving activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Maintenance Control and Maintenance Execution teams in daily cadence.
- Providing direct control and supervision of all maintenance records.
- Compiling taskcards.
- Printing and preparing workpacks.
- Auditing, updating and delivery of the electronic and hard copy records for assigned aircraft as stipulated in the Statement of Work.
- Auditing all maintenance paperwork and ensuring errors logged and corrected.
- Archiving maintenance workpacks in both paper and electronic formats.
- Ensuring the latest Approved Data and Technical Information are being used by the maintenance teams.

**Additional Responsibilities includes**:

- Support Operations Manager (Site Lead) with site support activities.
- Maintain roster, personnel availability, monitoring resources trend.
- Operational data analytics and update dashboards in a timely manner
- Submit reports to key stakeholder and status updates.

**Competencies**:

- A good communicator, with a demonstrable ability to communicate technical work requirements.
- Capable and experienced in sequencing and controlling demanding workloads, on time, to budget and to the required standard.
- Capable of understanding and interpreting Technical data.

**Qualifications**:

- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience in Technical.Records management or Documents Control in a CAMO or Maintenance Repair Organisation.
- Military or Civil Aircraft Maintenance experience.
- Ideally completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training programme.
- Experience of GOLDesp/GOLDMRO and Form 700 series (RAF) is beneficial.
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office with the ability to compile and present reports of a technical nature.

**Security Clearance**: This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC) for which UK residency is required. All information will be checked and verified.
