- 10.90 per hour (enhancements for Sundays and Bank Holidays)

Full time and part time hours for Supported Living and Supported Independence

Leading Lives provides social care support for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in the home and in the community across Suffolk and neighbouring counties. We are a not-for-profit social enterprise, owned by our employees. Any surplus we make is reinvested back into services for our customers or into the local community.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker within a range of our services including: Community Hubs, Short Breaks, Support to Live at Home and Supported Independence in the Ipswich area.
- **Mini Overview of services**:_

**Short breaks**: A residential home where customers come for a short break, you get to work with a vast range of individuals who all have different personalities and supporting needs. As a support worker within our short break service, variation ,change, and consecutive learning is key.

**Support to live at home**: Providing the opportunity to support people in their own homes, to live as independently as possible. Interacting with a small group of individuals enables you to build relationships and see their progression towards independence.

**Supported independence**: Interacting with a numerous customers you will travel to support customers in their own homes.. These individuals require small amounts of support with particular parts of their day to day life. This role is customer lead and dependent on their needs that day.

**Community Hubs**: An activity centre, which individuals visit to participate in sessions enabling them to learn new skills and participate in activities,. If you have any hobbies or are passionate about anything that could become an fun and interactive session for our customers, then this may be the service for you.

As **Support Worker**, your key responsibilities will include:

- Support a range of customers to live independently and complete day to day activities
- Identify and assist with opportunities within the local community
- Provide intimate personal care according to individual needs
- Maintain dignity and respect at all times
- Communicate effectively and sensitively with customers
- Liaise effectively with families and carers
- Where appropriate, administer medication in line with Company policy

Whilst experience in a similar organisation/role would be advantageous, we believe that the right values and attitudes are also important when recruiting new staff.
