Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home has the ambition to be one of the leading Secure Children’s Homes in the UK and we’re looking for Care Planning Practitioners who have the passion to achieve this with us At present the home is rated Good by Ofsted and undergoing a temporary unforced closure whilst we carry out an ambitious project to relaunch as a centre of excellence in the new year.

In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated, supportive multi-disciplinary team, taking a lead on care planning, intervention and resettlement for children placed at Lansdowne Secure Children’s home. You’ll work with colleagues from our in-house care, education and health teams to smooth pathways, ensure that children feel heard, that they understand their plans and that they are positive about their future. You will support others to connect theory and learning into their day-to-day practice and targeted work with the young people.

At East Sussex we’re committed to continued professional development, that’s why you’ll complete your Level 3 Children & Young People Diploma in Health & Social care (if not already achieved). You’ll also be a qualified QCF Assessor (or be willing to work towards).

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
