**About the role**
Supporting the wider central finance team, you’ll assist with the timely and accurate production of monthly financial reporting and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and Group accounting and control policies. You’ll also assist theFinancial Control team for the Business Unit in ensuring accounting implications are carefully considered in all commercial, operational, and strategic decisions as the business continues its strategy of growth and diversification.
You’ll also be assisting with the smooth-running of the month-end close process, including the posting of specific manual journals and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
This is a Hybrid role based from our Drax Generation site in Selby and would suit a Finance Graduate looking for an entry position into finance.
**About you**
You’ll have some previous experience in a financially focused environment, either through education or work experience and you have a clear passion for growing your career within the finance and accounting world. You’ll need to be well organised with exceptionalattention to detail, as you’ll be expected to manage your own work priorities often under short time frames. You’ll also be comfortable dealing with numbers, and have excellent MS office skills, especially excel.
