Volunteers are at the heart of our entire organisation. Whether it’s helping at our events cheering on participants, working in our shops sorting donated goods and helping customers, planting in the gardens of the hospice, or working directly with our families in the hospice or at their home, they all play an integral part in supporting Helen & Douglas House.
We have an exciting opportunity for **Catering Volunteers** to join our volunteer team at our Hospice in Oxford. This is a **part time, voluntary position.**
Catering Volunteers will work alongside the catering team helping prepare mealtimes for children, families and staff. Volunteers may also assist with catering for in-house events such as theme meals, remembrance services, team meetings or open days. This is an energetic role which involves spending time within the clinical environment. For further details please see the job description attached.
- **Shifts are 3-4 hours per week and can fit around your commitments.**
- **We need volunteers to help bakes cakes throughout the day, with lunch from 11am-2pm, for dinner preparation from 4-7pm.**
Volunteers are entitled to claim travel expenses and refreshments are provided during your shift.
