An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Datix System Administration to recruit a Band 2 Datix Administrator on a a permanent basis to work full time (37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, working times negotiable). The role will be supporting the Risk and Datix team, within the wider Corporate Governance team for the Trust.
We are looking for a proactive individual with good communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently. You will need to be able to work flexibly, managing your own time efficiently, with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels for the organisation.
We are looking for someone with strong administrative skills including strong knowledge of IT systems. Knowledge of the Datix system is desirable but not essential as all necessary training on the system will be given. However, a willingness to learn new ways of working in a generally high standard of computer literacy is essential.
Datix is a Risk management system that the Trust uses to record and track incidents, risks, complaints and safety alerts. The main principle of the Datix Team is to ensure an effective, efficient and high quality service is provided to system users, via a range of necessary system administration tasks. These include form administration, form approval, account creation, access amendments and creating and extracting reports.
Datix
- Ensure all incident forms are actioned within agreed timescales.
- Ensure all duplicate contacts are matched.
- Monitor appropriate actioning of the 'Datix Enquiries Inbox' as needed.
- Create, update/amend and maintain Datix accounts for 'Users' as requested.
- Unlock Datix User Accounts, as required.
- Close Datix User Accounts from the Trust Leavers lists, as required.
- Extract and issue reports as required.
- Upload patient safety incidents to the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) Website.
- Take into account requirements of the Data Protection Act (2018) in all matters relating to information processed.
- Escalate any areas of concern to the Datix Team Leader.
