Software Project Lead

**Salary**: up to circa £64,000 depending on experience

**Dynamic (hybrid) working**: 5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification

**Security Clearance**: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship_._

**The opportunity**:
As a Software Project Lead you will be responsible for leading a team of 5-10 Software Engineers to deliver our products and acting as their role model.

The work will involve planning and bid estimating, allocating work, tracking progress, working with supplier teams to define system requirements, and resolving current issues including competing demands and conflicts.

This role includes involvement in all aspects of the development, integration, delivery into service and service support aspects.

**What we're looking for from you**:

- Someone who is passionate about building high performing teams.
- You'll also be acting as design authority for the software your team is creating, it is therefore essential you have a proven history in software development - ideally working at a low level using the C language.
- The ability to create strong working relationships with the multi-disciplined software project environments within which we work.

While the experience listed below will be helpful, if you do not have some of them don't let that stop you from applying.
- Experience of Agile practices such as scrum
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of the following are considered a bonus but are not required._
- C++ / C#

- Automated Testing
