This job role involves working in a unique and dynamic but supportive environment with challenging young people (13- 18 years) with learning and behavioural difficulties within a safe one person specialised centre within the community. As a Clinical support worker, you will ensure that our young people grow and flourish in a safe, nurturing environment.

With Oakfield, you will have the opportunity to not just observe behaviour and mental health, but learn about it and develop your own skills whilst being part of a multi-disciplinary medical/clinical team.

**What your day to day job role would look like**:

- Providing care and support/encouragement to our young people
- Helping our young people with daily activities and essential life skills
- Managing challenging behaviours, implementing psychological strategies to help the young person keep themselves safe and grow and flourish within themselves
- Going on daily activities with our young people to promote independence and fulfilment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and enjoyable environment for staff and sour young people
- Communicate effectively with young people and fellow staff member
- Maintaining up to date documentation

- 3-5 day training package upon induction to our team where you will learn all about our service and develop knowledge/ skills in counselling, learning needs and
- Continual ongoing training opportunities for staff as part of your role
- Counselling/ specialist training seminars for staff on a weekly basis
- Continual training opportunities and qualifications/ accreditations for your CPD through our recognised training school (CPD)
