What you'll be doing
- As a Buyer you will be responsible for:
- Fulfilling requisitions on behalf of the business
- Projects POC for the North East Delivery Unit, to provide support, resolve queries and offer advice Ensuring internal spend compliance
- Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
- Conducting tender processes
- Supplier meetings and engagement
- Creation of Supply Chain Strategies
- Management of Procurement Schedules
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Identifying key trends or opportunities for cost reduction
- Negotiating discounts and savings & ensuring accurate reporting of such along with value add activities
- Supplier performance management
- Ensuring adherence to procurement processes and procedures

- Knowledge of Subcontract Procurement Process (desired)
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
