If you’re a Category Manager with a background in a large, multi-site organisation who wants to take their career to the next level, we’ve got the role for you.

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Category Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis from either our Northampton, Birmingham or Manchester offices. You’ll manage all spend related to facilities management and own the relationship between our centralprocurement department, appointed suppliers and our operating sites across the UK and Ireland.

We’re looking to offer a competitive salary for this role. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday pay (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Develop and manage a number of spend areas including (but not limited to) building repairs & maintenance, cleaning, manned guarding & security, vending and catering
- Use your market and business knowledge to seek out and propose commercially beneficial opportunities
- Identify cost saving and business improvement opportunities, issues and associated risks
- Manage tendering projects, summarising and making recommendations on supplier appointment

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- A proven track record as a Category Manager within a large, complex, multi-site business (experience within the facilities category would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of centralised procurement processes and operating systems - if you have an MCIPS qualification, this would also be an advantage
- Strong experience in end-to-end indirect category management, including strategy development and execution
- The ability to effectively influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels and across all functions
