**THE ROLE**

An opportunity has arisen within the Transmission department for an Admin Assistant (Maintenance) based in St Mary Cray, reporting to the Resources Team Manager.

The role focuses on providing operational support to Pipelines, Pressure Control and E&I maintenance and project activities on our transmission and distribution assets.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the Southern Maintenance NRSWA requirements
- raising notices, defect reporting and liaising with Local Authorities.
- Day to day management of the Southern Maintenance vehicle fleet. Administration of Webfleet and telematics systems. Manage the impact of vehicle downtime for breakdown and servicing. Arrange hire vans and administer the fuel cards.
- Administration of the Southern Maintenance health surveillance programme.
- Monitor training requirements of operational colleagues and liaise with Training Department to ensure continued competence. Collate training records and liaise with operational managers about team competence.
- Make hotel and travel bookings for SM team.
- Provide local reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- Liaison with Asset Management, Depots, customers, and external clients.
- Assist with support activities for the wider Admin Team and provide flexible cover as needed.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**

You will be a highly motivated person with excellent interpersonal and managerial skills. You will be a good team worker, capable of working to tight deadlines and responding to changing priorities at short notice and you will be prepared to take initiativeto minimize or prevent anticipated problems.

You will be able to communicate effectively and politely, both verbally and in writing, with employees, managers, and customers within and outside the company, providing excellent levels of customer service at all times. A neat and accurate worker you willhave excellent computer sills, ideally being competent in Microsoft software packages such as Word, Excel and other key office systems.

An appropriate management or technical qualification would be an advantage. You must be self-motivated, with the ability to effectively control costs, people, resources, and tasks.
