We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our supportive and friendly team located at PRU Preston, Fulwood Barracks.

**Job description**:
This role is peripatetic and the routine working environment may encompass a variety of areas both clinical and administrative. Clinical activity is to be carried out in an appropriate setting and may include the use of remote consultation technology where available, ensuring privacy and dignity is maintained and aligned to Policy. Negotiation with an MTF (Medical Treatment Facility) may be required to secure suitable facilities.

**Person specification**:
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Supporting the Personnel Recovery Units (PRU) with Personnel on Recovery Duty (PRD) SP on caseload, ensuring all SP (Service Personnel) have an accurate healthcare plan and act as the single point of contact for the PRU in support of all clinical case management.
- Providing occupationally focussed clinical assessment to enable participation in return to work (if appropriate) and Individual Recovery Programme (IRP) events, with appropriate reference to documented clinical needs and occupational advice. This includes the provision of initial assessments to PRD SP on assignment to the PRU.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and in line with current DMS (Defence Medical Services) policies and guidance; monitor and facilitate all clinical referral activity for PRD SP and contribute to Clinical Care Pathways (CCPs) supporting rehabilitation and fitness for work (where appropriate) and promoting MOD health and wellbeing policies and initiatives.
- Utilise proactive management to identify potential physical and psychological problems caused either by the SPs condition or CCP activity and inform the appropriate clinical lead.

**Licences**:

- Current certificate of Hepatitis B, Rubella, measles, and Varicella immunity.
- Current driving licence. The role is peripatetic and cannot be delivered using public transport.**Qualifications**:

- Occupational Therapist Specialist: Specialist knowledge across range of procedures underpinned by theory. Professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent, plus short specialist courses, experience to post-graduate equivalent diploma level.**Memberships**:

- Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register, with demonstrable experience working at Band 5 or above.
- Or
- Registered OT (Occupational Therapist) on the HCPC register, with demonstrable experience working at Band 5 or above.**Technical skills**:
