The Department of Public Health and Primary Care in Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly MPhil course team as an Admissions Administrator, to manage the admissions process for our successful MPhil in Population Health Sciences programme, which has over 70 postgraduate students each year.

The post holder will be involved in all aspects of admissions for the programme from enquiry, through interview to final offer, supporting applicants, prospective students and teaching staff. The postholder will work closely with administrative colleagues and the wider course team and be the first point of contact for a wide range of people including enquirers, applicants, funders, colleagues in other departments and academic staff.

The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Will need to be well-organised, able to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines. Have a good level of competence in standard software packages and have strong attention to detail. You will be able to work independently on your own initiative but also contribute as a team member and have the ability to build positive working relationships with your colleagues in the MPhil team, Department and University.

Training will be provided in the use of university systems.

This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours per week (50% FTE). Working days to be agreed.

Funding for the role is currently for 2 years from commencement in post.

Location - Department of Public Health and Primary Care, East Forvie Building, University Forvie Site, Robinson Way, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge CB2 0SR (approx 2 miles south of city centre)
