We are currently working with a lovely SEN Primary School in Andover. We are looking for a pro-active and personable individual to support in KS1 and KS2 classes who cater for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. The school’s focus is providing a nurturing environmentthat enables the pupils to engage successfully in all aspects of learning.
Role of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting the class Teacher (6-8 pupils per class)
- Supporting with outdoor day trips and activity days
- Embrace all aspects of the school’s visions and core values
- Working with pupils with ASC, complex needs, challenging behaviours and SEMH
- Full-time 8:30am to 3:30pm
- 1:1 and small group work ensuring pupils stay on track with the curriculum
- Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient - this role can be challenging, but it is very rewarding
- Experience working within a SEND/SEMH school (not essential)
- A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
