Alf Onnie is a busy fast-paced curtains and furniture shop, based in the heart of East Ham, who have been trading for over 60 years.

A busy family run high street shop based in the heart of East Ham for over 100 years, selling curtains, blinds & plantation shutters to both retail and commercial customers.

A busy family run high street shop based in the heart of East Ham for over 100 years, selling curtains, blinds & plantation shutters to both retail and commercial customers.

To start, training will be given as a shop assistant and applicants must be competent in Maths, Reading, Writing and some IT skills are also required.

Job description:

- Stock control & replenishment.
- Posting on social media to advertise our business
- Checking in goods (some heavy lifting)
- Keeping the shop & storage areas clean, tidy & orderly.
- Learning sales skills. Serving & assisting with our products.
- Processing orders.
- Answering customer enquiries.
- Giving information and helping to solve problems.
- Computer skills to book appointments, ordering goods.

We are looking to offer continued regular employment on apprenticeship completion for the applicant making the required progress.

We do not expect an apprentice to come in and have all the required knowledge, but guidance and support from our experienced team will be given throughout your apprenticeship duration.

We ask for honesty, willingness to learn, and reliability with punctuality & attendance.

Shop opening hours: 9:00AM - 5:30PM Monday - Saturday

You will be expected to work for 5 days per week including a Saturday. 1 hour Lunch Break per day.

Statuary Holiday entitlement.

**Qualification**:
A Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeship alongside learning the industry and ability to deal with varied clients including schools, theatres and industry.

**Course Duration**:
12 Months

**Salary**:
£300.00 per week
