**NJC Scale 6 - 37 hours per week**

**£30,559 - £32,654 per annum**

Our Participation Practitioner will work to support and empower children, young people, parents, families and carers to have a voice about the decisions that affect them, with professionals working alongside and recognising one another's expert knowledge, to design, develop and improve services. This includes how we plan, deliver and evaluate services. They will also work alongside colleagues in the development of policy and practice to ensure that the voice of those we support is kept at the centre of children’s services.

This officer will work with children, young people, parents, families and carers, to develop their active participation in the work of Telford and Wrekin’s services. In addition, they will also represent the views of those supported at meetings with council staff, elected members and partner agencies.

They will be tasked with the design of participation groups and surveys and schemes of direct work which maximise the potential for engagement with Children’s Services.
