EP Group is a global packaging manufacturer with production facilities across Europe and South East Asia. We specialise in a range of paper and plastic based packaging products, selling to many of the world’s largest retailers including Marks & Spencer, Amazon and McDonalds.
We have an opportunity for a Stock Controller to join the team, based on site at our global HQ in Birmingham.
The role will be responsible for managing the stock forecasting process for a major retail account to ensure that sustainable demand planning accuracy is achieved.

**Key Accountabilities - Stock Controller**:
- Manage the stock forecasting process, to ensure that sustainable demand planning accuracy is achieved
- Build collaborative relationships with suppliers to raise the profile of the demand plan
- Monitor outstanding order levels & take appropriate action to resolve stock delay issues
- Analyse & recommend actions to address slow moving / obsolete stock.
- To identify, develop & implement new process improvements
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key interfaces within the business internal and externally
- Inventory management
- Forecasting and maintaining forecast accuracy
- Placing purchase orders
- Chasing order confirmations / confirming delivery dates
- Booking in deliveries
- Manage any NCRC issues are distributed to
**Essential Experience / Special requirements**:
- SAP experience essential
- Far East ordering experience essential
- Knowledge/experience of working with shipping industry would be an advantage
- Excellent understanding of demand planning, it's role, function & mission
- Analytical skills
- Advance knowledge of excel, access or other tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer and commercial focus
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain procedures and processes
- Ability to work under pressure and to balance priorities to deliver the plan
- Experience within a stock control, inventory management or demand planning role within a fast paced supply chain
- Experience in UK retail / FMCG essential
- Be able to articulate the factors involved in ensuring orders are placed at the right time and at the right quantity
- Be passionate about ensuring availability of product
- Be Service focused
- Be able to form strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
