**Job Overview**:
We’re looking for a motivated Junior Project Coordinator eager to take a significant next step in their career by joining our Procurement and Project Management team. In this role, you’ll support the sourcing and purchasing of materials, products, and services essential to our project goals while helping drive operational efficiency and innovation. With a strong focus on modernizing procurement, this position is ideal for someone passionate about leveraging IT systems, advanced tools, and potentially AI-driven solutions to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project & Procurement Support**:

- Collaborate with Project Coordinators and the Senior Leadership Team, to understand project requirements and ensure the timely procurement of materials.
- Prepare and send purchase orders under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist Project Coordinator with planning, organising, and overseeing project activities.
- Help monitor project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Gather and organize project drawings and documentation, ensuring it is kept updated and easily accessible to the project team.
- Take ownership of the delivery schedule and ensure it is an accurate reflection of chargeable costs.
- Work alongside the estimating team to ensure timely completion of BOQ’s.
- Manage inbound phone calls and distribute to relevant team members accordingly.
- Support team communication by creating project reports, summaries, and progress updates.

**Supplier Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Track supplier performance and pricing, reporting any relevant finds to the project team.
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, product range and delivery times.
- Address any discrepancies in deliveries or damaged goods with suppliers.

**Market Research and Analysis**:

- Conduct market research to identify trends, new products, and pricing changes that could impact procurement strategies.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the supplier database.
- Support the Project Team in cost reduction initiatives by gathering relevant data and preparing reports.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate project records including purchase orders, quotes, supplier contracts, and other project related documents.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and order status updates.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement best practices.
- Track changes in project scope and report any potential impacts on schedule and budget.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Contribute ideas to improve project management processes and support team efficiency.
- Participate in team retrospectives and feedback sessions to improve project coordination skills.
- Stay updated with project management best practices and assist in implementing process improvements.
- Attend relevant trade shows and events when necessary.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
**Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or another construction related field with transferrable skills.

**Technical Skills**: Familiarity with construction drawings, good knowledge of building materials, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

**Tech Savvy**: A strong interest in technology and how it can enhance procurement/business processes, with a willingness to explore tools and solutions to drive efficiencies.

**Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

**Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Problem-Solving**: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively under supervision.

**Organisational Skills**: Strong time management and organisational skills.
