**37 Hours Per Week - Flexible and agile working to cover the service 24 hours per day and 7 days a week (where applicable)**

**We are currently seeking suitably qualified Roofers to join our Property team within Nottingham City Council Housing Services. We currently have a great opportunity for experienced Roofersto join NCCHS's Property Team, where our tenants are at the heart of what we do, and no two days are the same. It's also an exciting time to join us as we continue to expand and grow our talented team.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- To help maintain the integrity of the structure of the property to include all those elements which give a dwelling its essential appearance, stability and shape, and those which provide protection from the climate.
- To carry out all aspects of roofing works including to strip carefully old roofs and install on new roof coverings, carrying out day to day planned roofing works, repairs, facia works and guttering works.
- To be competent on repair work on major refurbishments, must be able to work on facia and soffit renewals along with guttering and lead works. Works are both internal and external, and on both domestic and commercial properties.
- To use elements of the skills of other general trades to meet the target of first-time fix where it is efficient and appropriate to do so.
- Ensure any installations remain in reasonable state of repair and any inconvenience to customers is minimised

**The person**:

- You will bring an organised but flexible approach and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Naturally, you will have experience in all aspects of roofing work, in new build, maintenance or contract environment, including assessing and inspecting jobs, updating records, and great customer service skills.
- You will be qualified, certified & trained to NVQ3 or have proven track record or equivalent
- You will be working with a wider range of customers and stakeholders and as such the ability to act professionally with excellent customer service skills is essential.
- Full and valid driving license.
