Experienced Butcher

**Job Overview**
Lakes Speciality Foods is a successful catering butchery business supplying high quality products to our hotel, restaurant and catering customers in the North West.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team.

You will be responsible for preparing our speciality meat products, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

We start early Our team starts at 4am and operates Monday to Saturday so this is the perfect role for those who love an early start, having their afternoons to themselves and every Sunday off.

**About the role...**
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer preferences and specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with LSF Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations
- Meet production targets whilst ensuring all meat products are stored correctly and labelled accurately
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure freshness and quality
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food safety and butchery techniques

**Your skills and experience**
- Proven experience as a butcher or similar role in a culinary or food production environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to work with precision and attention to detail on a variety of cuts of meat
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- A passion for delivering quality products
