**Rehab Assistant - Permanent. Working hours**: 37.5 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Rehab Assistant within our therapy teams.
Our teams provide therapy to a range of specialities including orthopaedics, frailty, medical and respiratory services at the Countess of Chester hospital. You will be working alongside an experienced therapy team in a variety of settings including, inpatient wards, patient’s homes and clinic settings. The role includes working closely with our Multidisciplinary team to ensure we achieve best patient care.
Good communication, adaptability and team working skills are essential for this post. Experience of working with adults in a care setting is essential for the role. We offer a friendly and supportive environment for learning.
The post is varied and the post holder will need be able to work under their own initiative with supervision from the therapy team.
A car owner/driver is an essential requirement of this post or access to public transport.
This post attracts an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
You will be expected to work weekends and Bank holidays on a rota basis.
To provide support to the therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients and will implement prescribed therapy programmes.
You will be a positive individual with a can do attitude who can learn and adapt quickly and is flexible.
Effective communication with excellent organisational skills and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Applicants should have a professional and pleasant manner at all times and be enthusiastic about the service provided by the Therapy Team.
Comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of the work expected by the post holder.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.
The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services. The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.
