We are looking to develop their Sustainability resource, dedicated across Key Account within public and private sectors by recruiting a Carbon specialist to join the central Sustainability function.

Here, you will work to provide Scope 1, 2 and 3 Carbon Accounting for the employer and their portfolio of UK offices but also across customer sites, ranging from banking to central government.

In this role, you will you will analyse company carbon performance including historical performance and forecasting, at organisational, scope, emission category and emitting activity level to inform decarbonisation activity planning/business decision making.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Carbon aware Sustainability professional to join a growing central Sustainability function with chance to affect behavioural cross a 30,000 plus organisation.

We are happy to consider applicants from a strong Data background with some understanding over Carbon Accounting or a Sustainability professional with Carbon expertise, and some data analytics skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Gather and manage data to complete GHG calculations (Scope 1, 2 & 3) and maintain accompanying methodology documentation to enable external verification of emissions & audit
- Carbon Footprint Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of the company’s carbon emissions, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
- Prepare detailed reports on carbon emissions and reduction progress for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies, including support ESG reporting manager on a range of legal reporting e.g. Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR), Office of National Statistics annual survey (ONS)
- Support our operational teams with customer level carbon emissions reporting requirements both from global carbon accounting platform (watershed) and local required systems.
- Work with our Global Climate team and other Regional representatives to support the development of the Carbon Accounting Platform (Watershed) aligned to carbon accounting and audit needs
- Carbon forecast / modelling for UK and customer accounts to provide insight into planned decarbonisation activity will support overall decarbonisation requirements
- Develop and implement carbon accounting frameworks and processes in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements including but not limited to legislative, sector and voluntary UK & EU frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of carbon reduction targets and associated sustainability goals and initiatives

**Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications**
- Strong understanding of greenhouse gas emissions calculations, methodologies and data quality including critical assessment of lifecycle/supplier date
- Knowledgeable about greenhouse gas commitments, including net zero/SBTi targets and reporting requirements in
- ESG frameworks and for stakeholders

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
