The Barkside Wilmslow is a well-established **dog grooming salon** with a loyal client base and an excellent reputation for high-quality grooming and care. We’re now looking for a **confident, motivated, and experienced Dog Groomer** to join our friendly team.

**About the Role**

This position is ideal for a groomer who would like to **run their own business** and manage their own diary on a **self-employed basis (60/40 split)**.

You’ll be responsible for completing grooms from start to finish — typically **4-5 grooms per day** — while ensuring the highest standards of presentation, safety, and customer care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Groom dogs to a high standard across all breeds and coat types
- Handle all breeds confidently and safely
- Maintain a clean and tidy salon environment
- Communicate professionally with customers and manage bookings via social media and our online system
- Deliver excellent service and build strong relationships with regular clients

**What We’re Looking For**
- Minimum **1 year of professional dog grooming experience** or a **recognised UK qualification** (City & Guilds, OCN, or ICMG)
- Strong knowledge of dog breeds and their grooming requirements
- Confident working independently and managing your own workload
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
