**About the Job**

We are seeking an experienced Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team from our Leicester, UK plant. You will receive great benefits and reward package as well as opportunities to grow your career

**Summary of the Role**:
As a Material Planner you will be responsible for releasing orders and expediting the associated deliveries to support the manufacturing plan and facilitate the achievement of the required customer on time delivery target. In this role, your main tasks and responsibilities will entail:

- Follow up with suppliers as required to ensure that orders are confirmed and that deliveries are made according to confirmed delivery dates - this could involve supplier visits where appropriate.
- Escalate any supplier issues using the agreed procedure and support Purchasing with supplier management activities as appropriate.
- Plan internal compound mixing.
- Attend contract review meetings where necessary.
- Review Customer Service requests for order book movements and provide accurate feedback.
- Support the Production Planner by providing accurate delivery information where requested.
- Review and update M3 planning parameters/supplier information as appropriate.
- Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.

**Experience**:
The position calls for an individual with 2-3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment. It is an essential requirement that you are educated to GCSE or an equivalent level and proficient in the use for M3 ERP systems.
