**Teaching Assistant - Barnet**

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an amazing school located in the Barnet area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support pupils with SEND needs. All classes have a max of 8 pupils so as a Teaching Assistant you will typicallywork 1:1 with each child to support their learning.

Whilst you do not need to have experience as a Teaching Assistant, you will have worked with children recently in some capacity and be able to demonstrate yiu have the knowledge required to be a great Teaching Assistant.

- Provides a holistic environment for young people and their families, and work closely with a variety of health professionals to ensure the health and therapy needs are incorporated in their students' daily experience

**The Role**:

- As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required tosupport pupils with SEND needs
- Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
- Prepare learning materials
- Work with children in small groups and 1:1 when required to support their learning
- Build a positive and meaningful bond with staff and students

**Requirements**:

- Ideally have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, though not essential
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Be confident in supporting children with SEN given the nature of the role
- Available for an immediate start
- Either live in Barnet or within a commutable distance
